1st Annual White Elephant Gift Exchange - Dolores Park

What: The 1st Annual White Elephant Gift Exchange in Dolores Park on Sunday April 19th @ 2pm.

Where: Dolores Park, San Francisco

Why: Why not? It's free, it's fun, and you get to meet some new people. Come on out!

How it works:

1) Bring a gift, wrapped up or in a bag, just so that the participants can't see what it is.

2) We'll all get together in the park and then break into groups of 10 people and get into a circle of 10.

3) Then we count off from 1 to 10 so that everyone has a number. The guy with the bullhorn (me) will call out what number gets to go first (so its kinda random).

4) Everyone puts their gift into a pile. The person who's number was called picks a gift and unwraps it.

5) Then we go clockwise or counter-clockwise (up to the guy with the horn) and the next participant can either "steal" the opened gift or unwrap a new one. No gift is actually yours until every gift is opened and the game is finished.

6) That's it! Afterwards we can all share a drink in the park and socialize with your new friends! This is a BYOB event (bring some to share if you want)

** Please email and let us know if you are planning on coming so we can get an idea of how big this is going to get

SEND A PICTURE OF WHAT YOU ARE PLANNING ON EXCHANGING TO whiteelephantsf@gmail.com

I look forward to seeing everyone there!

Scott

Come on guys,
What happened? Or what didn't happen/? I'd like to know why it didn't happen or tell about it's phenominal success? or the personality problems that clashed or the police cordons that sealed off the park or what?
